Change
Dear Ones,
“Change is inevitable. Change is constant." Benjamin Disraeli
We visited the Venus Rising Association Intensive in North Carolina recently to find so much had changed from when we went through the intensive SHIP training in 2011 and became a 501(c)(3) congregation of Venus Rising.
We came to reconnect to the land and people here. as well as to refuel our own reservoir with the teachings, inspirations, land and dear friendships. It was the first in person intensive on Dove Mountain since the pandemic. We are grateful for the invitation from Starwolf and Nikolaus to attend.
As we drove up the long steep mountain road to our friend's home, a swell of nostalgia rose in my body. More than a decade ago, on this mountaintop, we (John and I) experienced tremendous personal growth that transformed our lives. As I looked around at the landscape, I noticed changes in the land. There was the lush growth of vegetation, like a jungle. Our friend calls it "the 50 shades of green".
The buildings where we used to do our sacred work in those early years have passed into new hands, and new structures have been built over the old. Their imprint seemed to be held energetically in the earth, but they were no longer the same, a striking contrast.
The ceremonial work is now on Dove Mountain, a short jaunt further up the road at a higher elevation, where the expansive view of the mountains calls for a higher perspective and elevated understanding.
Dove Mountain houses the Fire, Earth, and Air Temples, along with the beautiful new Isis Water Temple. The vision held for Venus Rising seeded years ago, is coming to fruition with seekers from all over the world arriving on the land to transform, shed that which no longer serves them, to embrace their authentic lives in right relationship with nature, the earth, and their soul's blueprint.
Another change includes a new labyrinth, built just a few days before the intensive began. The labyrinth symbolically represents our labyrinthine journey through life and lifetimes. As we walk into a labyrinth, we shed our skin, surrender and let go of what no longer serves us. When we arrive in the center, we open and ask for guidance for our next right step, we surrender to the alchemy of change and walk out of the labyrinth to create anew, a rebirth for our lives.
If we truly want to know who we are, we must understand not only our journey but the journey of our ancestors. The stories of those who came before us give us perspective and meaning. Change is held in a cauldron of past, present, and future. Each timeline affects and is affected by the other in a co-creative process. Alchemy. Growth. Change.
In a shamanic understanding of change, we move along the spiral path of transformation, a term coined by Star Wolf, founder of Venus Rising. As we digest and process life, we experience the alchemical process of transforming. Essentially, this is a new birth, a rebirth into something new. We are continually moving through another swoop around the loop on that spiral path. This is the natural order of the universe, a process of moving through the elements of water, earth, fire, spirit, and air over and over in our lives.
We are living in a time of great change on the planet that was predicted by many indigenous people across the world, that this time would come to move us into a new octave of earth's evolutionary change to bring about a new age in consciousness, a return to being in alignment with the natural world. We are in this time.
Change is the catalyst for new growth. We are all partaking in a massive shift of evolutionary growth on the planet as we enter a new Era for personal and collective evolution, one that remembers the stories and harnesses the wisdom. We are being called to serve and step into this change consciously as we midwife this new birth.
Aahara's Shamanic Healing Initiatory Program (SHIP) begins a new cycle in July 2023 with our first initiation, The Spiral Path and Cycles of Change (Water Cycle). SHIP is a transforming process that has changed our lives and many other's, bringing more joy, passion, and purpose to how we live, as we go through the process of evolution.
Much Love and Gratitude,
Carley and John
